03 — Our story

Started with one cat,
a marker, and
a fridge that felt sad.

Pet Funk started in 2024 in a third-floor flat in Bangalore that belonged mostly to a tabby named Kachori. The fridge was bare. The cat was opinionated. The first magnet was drawn in a notebook at 2am with a Pilot V5.

We thought we'd make a few for friends. Then friends of friends. Then a stranger in Kochi who said her senior dog had just passed and could we draw him please. We drew him. He looked exactly like her photo, except slightly grumpier, which she said was correct.

Two years later, we've shipped to 2,400 pet parents across India. Every magnet is still drawn by a person, not generated. Every tote is still printed in a small unit in Bangalore. We're never going to be the biggest pet brand in India. We're trying to be the most specific one.

Pet parenting is funnier and more emotional than most things deserve to be. We're just making the merch for it.

Are these printed or hand-drawn?

Every design starts as a hand-drawn ink illustration by Aanya (sometimes Kachori the cat helps, badly). We then scan, colour, and print it. So every piece is hand-drawn AND printed — what you receive is the printed version of an original drawing.

Can you do a custom magnet of my pet?

Yes — that's our most-requested thing. WhatsApp us a clear photo (good light, single pet, no blur). Custom magnets are ₹699 each, take 7–10 days to draw and ship. We'll show you a sketch before printing so you can ask for tweaks.

How long does shipping take?

4–7 working days across most of India. 7–10 days for the North-East and Andamans. Free shipping on orders ₹999 and above; flat ₹60 below that. We use Delhivery for tracked delivery.

Can I return something?

If something arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered — yes, no questions, full refund or replacement. For change-of-mind returns we don't accept them, because every magnet is individually printed and we can't re-sell once shipped. Custom magnets are non-refundable.

Do the magnets actually stick?

Yes — and we tested this with a fridge full of magnets and a cat trying to knock them off. They use neodymium backing, which is rated to hold 5–8 sheets of A4 paper. They will not slide. Promise.

Is this just a dog and cat thing?

Mostly, yes. We have a few rabbit and bird designs in the collection. We've drawn a hamster on commission. We have not yet drawn anyone's pet snake but we are open to it. WhatsApp us if your pet is unusual — we're curious.

We answer every WhatsApp message ourselves, usually within a few hours. Sometimes Aanya is on a walk. Sometimes Kachori is sitting on the laptop. Sometimes it just takes a minute.
